Looking for His Past, Max Finds Our Future in Swinging London Way

SWINGING LONDON WAY was originaly created as a 25 song LIVE rock opera.
This story can be told on stage, in a film or a TV series.

But the TV series or film ARE NOT MUSICALS. Except when on stage, characters will NOT ‘burst into song & dance’. Our elaborated demos serve as Soundtrack cues   awaiting casting.

Since this youth revolution happened simultaneously all over the world; this story is universal. A Swinging Paris, NY, Sidney, Toronto, Montréal or any world capital would bring different contexts, conflicts and swinging local flavour.

 STORY

Max is at the peak of his glory. He is in love with the beautiful Ruby, a young rebellious aristocrat. Becoming the icon of the cultural and sexual revolution with his "Be Who You Are" song, banned by the BBC but embraced by the new generation, he couldn't be happier.

However, one night everything changes. Ruby falls into a deep coma after a heavily intoxicated evening. Detective Krakhaus, informed of the incident, arrives with paramedics and plants drugs in Max's possession. Furious, Max punches him in the face, leading to his immediate arrest.

The Rat-Hole club, owned by Sherrie, Max's mother, is now closed after a raid supposedly discovered a large quantity of drugs. At the same time, she learns that Max has been taken to Wormwood Scrubs prison. She needs help and turns to Major Power, an old acquaintance, to assist her in this ordeal. Together, they hope to uncover the mastermind behind this apparent vendetta.

The events also force them to confront the demons of their past. Max in his cell and Sherrie in her deserted club reflect on significant moments in their lives and the incredible secrets that bind them together.

One night, as she's walking home, Sherrie collapses, victim of a shooter. Major Power sets out to discover the culprit. The Chain Gang is formed to teach the guilty party  a lesson during The Wigs grand annual dinner at the Sterling Club.

Life seems to be returning to normal, as Rocky Darling invites his family and friends to his Jamaican island for a reconciliation. But the unthinkable happens, leading to a spectacular and hilarious finale.

SWINGING LONDON WAY is packed with a lot of excitement and visual flair, with plenty of opportunity to have fun with the fashion, lingo and attitude all while casting a spotlight on important cultural shifts.

SWINGING LONDON WAY's cinematic potential is wonderful. The period style is distinct and immersive with a cast of colorful characters set against the rowdy backdrop of a bustling city as big as London in the sixties (1963-66).

During the current upheaval of social change, political justice and rejection of the old systems, the messaging will certainly translate to audiences today.

SWINGING LONDON WAY delivers a lot of dramatic potential along with some great world-building. Due to the nostalgia of the sixties era and the worldwide influence of rock and roll; SWINGING LONDON WAY certainly contains a lot of appeal.

This is a series that could pull in the older, dedicated fans of the time but also lure in a younger audience with its relevant revolutionary angle and original collection of songs.
